[Problem] To provide a Fe-Co alloy powder that has a small particle diameter, is able to achieve a high μ' in a high frequency band, and exhibits favorable heat resistance. [Solution] A Fe-Co alloy powder that has a small particle diameter, is able to achieve a high μ' in a high frequency band, and exhibits favorable heat resistance is obtained by: obtaining a slurry of a precipitate of a hydrous oxide obtained by neutralizing, in the presence of phosphorus-containing ions, an acidic aqueous solution containing trivalent Fe ions and Co ions with an alkaline aqueous solution; adding a silane compound to said slurry so as to coat the precipitate of the hydrous oxide with a hydrolysis product of the silane compound; recovering the precipitate of the hydrous oxide being coated through solid-liquid separation; obtaining iron particles coated with silicon oxide by heating the recovered precipitate; and dissolving and removing the silicon oxide coat.
