摘要
The proposed invention relates to technology for decontaminating liquid radioactive waste (LRW) by membrane-sorption methods in stationary and mobile installations. The method comprises purification on mechanical filters and ultrafine filters, desalination on reverse-osmosis filters and final purification on ion-exchange filters, reagent processing of ion-exchange resins and solidification of resulting secondary radioactive waste with incorporation of same into Portland cement. Reagent processing of a mixture of cation-exchange and anion-exchange resins is carried out with potassium ferrocyanide (K4[Fe(CN)6]) and cobalt salts. Anion-exchange resins processed with potassium permanganate (KMnO4) are additionally used. Processed resins are used as preliminary sorption filters (in the form of filter containers with a concrete biological shield) which are mounted upstream of the reverse-osmosis filters. The technical result is an increase in efficiency of purifying LRW from radioactive nuclides of cobalt, a reduction in the radiation burden on operating personnel, an increase in the ecological safety of disposal of radioactive waste having a high content of cobalt and a reduction in the volume of radioactive waste being disposed of. There is at least a 10-fold increase in the coefficients of purification of caesium-137 and cobalt-60 on preliminary filters, which widens the range of cobalt-60 content in LRW being reprocessed without subjecting operating personnel to overexposure.
