In a data processing unit, one image is suitably deformed so that the position and/or size of the same site in MS imaging images obtained from each of different samples are the same, whereby positioning is performed (S1 to S5). When the positioned image is displayed on a screen of a display unit and a user sets a region of interest on an image serving as a reference (S6), a micro-region in which a center point is included in the set region of interest is extracted from each of the image serving as a reference and an image not serving as a reference (S7). Although the shapes of micro-regions in the deformed image are distorted and the micro-regions are not arrayed in a regular lattice shape, the micro-region in which the center point is included in the region of interest is considered to be included in the range of the region of interest, whereby it is possible to perform comparative analysis based on data values in an appropriate micro-region corresponding to the region of interest irrespective of the image deformation.
