More specifically, the three-dimensional coordinate calculation apparatus analyzes multiple images uses the images for calculating three-dimensional coordinates of common points in the images while the three-dimensional coordinate distance measuring apparatus calculates the distance between two points by using the result. The three-dimensional coordinate calculation apparatus can also easily calculate the three-dimensional coordinates of arbitrary points displayed on images by using images recorded by the camera. The three-dimensional coordinate distance measuring method using images can be used to easily measure the distance between two arbitrary points displayed in images by using the images recorded by a camera.
