Disclosed is an apparatus for encoding and decoding an LPC residual signal of a speech and audio integrated encoder based on MDCT. The apparatus for encoding an LPC residual signal selects an encoding method of a signal filtered with an LPC by analyzing the characteristics of an input signal and encodes the LPC residual signal based on one of a real filterbank, a complex filterbank, and algebraic code excited linear prediction (ACELP).
