More specifically, the present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating hyperuricemia or hyperuricemia-related metabolic disorders and/or a health functional food composition for preventing or alleviating hyperuricemia or hyperuricemia-related metabolic disorders containing extracts of Atractylodes lancea, Machilus thunbergii, Citrus unshiu, Glycyrrhiza uralensis, and Zingiberis siccatum Rhizoma as active components. An herbal medicine extract combination of the present invention has an excellent effect of inhibiting edema, reducing inflammatory cytokine, and decreasing blood uric acid concentration in monosodium urate (MSU) crystal-induced gout animal models, thereby being usefully used for preventing, alleviating, or treating hyperuricemia or hyperuricemia-related metabolic disorders.
