摘要

The present invention relates to a method for producing thermally expandable microspheres excellent in solvent resistance. Specifically, the present invention aims to provide a method for producing thermally expandable microspheres excellent in solvent resistance, by producing a suspension using plate-shaped magnesium hydroxide by mixing an aqueous phase and an oil phase before synthesis of thermally expandable microspheres; by forming a magnesium hydroxide film of the plate-shaped particles on the surface of the thermally expandable microspheres when the thermally expandable microspheres are synthesized after the production of the suspension; and thus by improving the solvent resistance of the thermally expandable microspheres so as to prevent an external solvent from penetrating into the microspheres when the thermally expandable microspheres are immersed in the solvent.
