The present invention relates to a method and a system for preventing water quality contamination of deep underground water using a vertical capturing well. According to the present invention, the method for preventing water quality contamination of deep underground water using a vertical capturing well comprises: a step of vertically installing a vertical capturing well for pumping shallow underground water at a shallower depth than a pumping well near the pumping well vertically installed on the ground surface to a deep aquifer to pump deep underground water; an observation well water quality contamination level measuring step of measuring a water quality contamination level of shallow underground water at an observation well positioned on an upstream slope of the vertical capturing well; and a step of stopping an operation of the pumping well and controlling in an emergency mode to allow only the vertical capturing well to be solely operated if the water quality contamination level measured at the observation well is determined to exceed a reference value, and continuously maintaining an operation of the pumping well and controlling in a general mode to operate the vertical capturing well in connection thereto if the water quality contamination level measured at the observation well is determined to be within the reference value. Accordingly, the vertical capturing well is used to block entry of shallow underground water into deep underground water to effectively exclude underground water in a shallow layer to stably protect water quality of deep underground water from contaminants created from ground surface contaminants or contamination accidents such as nonpoint contamination sources and point contamination sources near the pumping well to stably secure high quality underground water.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
