The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a sericite extract. More specifically, the method for manufacturing a pH-controlled sericite extract comprises the steps of: pulverizing sericite to manufacture sericite powder; inserting the sericite powder and water in a sealed container, and pressurizing and heating the sealed container; eluting steam through a pipe connected from the sealed container while adjusting the pressure and temperature of the sealed container, the diameter of the pipe, and the pressure of the eluted steam; and condensing the eluted steam to acquire a sericite extract. In particular, the sericite extract of the present invention has antibacterial activity with respect to a causative pathogen of human skin diseases, while having adjusted pH, thereby being used as a base material for cosmetics to enhance functionality of the cosmetics.
