Disclosed are a device for using social network service (SNS) data to provide search result for a search word, capable of providing a correct result for the search word, a method thereof, and a recording medium for executing the same. According to the present invention, the device comprises a memory storing a computer-readable command and a processor to execute the command. The processor groups a plurality of words included in SNS data into words having an association in accordance with temporal and spatial characteristics based on creation time and location information of the SNS data to calculate a plurality of temporally associated word groups and a plurality of spatially associated word groups. When a search word is input, the processor uses the creation time and location information of the search word to search for one of the temporal associated word groups and one of the spatial associated word groups and uses words included in the one temporal associated word group and the one spatial associated word group to provide a result related to the search word.
