The present invention relates to an immersive exhibition system based on AR-VR technique and a method for the same. According to the present invention, the immersive exhibition system based on the AR-VR technique includes: a personal display device installed at a predetermined position of a gallery and displaying a VR-based animation scene and basic information and detail information based on AR on a main exhibit selected by an audience; a TV installed at the predetermined position of the gallery to be electrically connected to the personal display device, wherein the TV displays an image which a user(audience) watches by the personal display device through a screen; and a service providing server installed at a remote position far from the gallery or the predetermined position of the gallery and connected to the personal display device by wired and wireless internet, wherein the service providing server provides VR-based animation content and basic information and detail information based on the AR about the exhibits displayed in the exhibition. According to the present invention, the immersive exhibition system based on AR-VR technique is applied to a natural history museum actually operated by a local government and, therefore, can provide various realistic experience contents in which an actual exhibition space and a virtual space are organically linked. So, the user realistically has the various experiences in the space in which the actual space and the virtual space are linked.
