The present invention relates to an internet of things (IoT) communication system construction for reading a gift card barcode capable of preventing counterfeit and theft of a gift card. The present invention comprises: a server unit constructing and providing data based on an input amount through a unique number of a gift card in order to enable gifts to be transferred and transacted on the IoT by cognizing a gift card barcode; and a smartphone terminal accessing the server unit to provide a current location and a usage state with transactions really existing on the map and a communication function for each user.
