The present invention relates to a method for controlling a crane using a smartphone, which can control the crane at a remote place and monitor the state of the crane in real time using the smartphone of a user. Provided is the method for controlling the crane using the smartphone, comprising the steps of: a controller checking a residual charge amount of a battery and determining that power is sufficient; the controller receiving an electric signal generated by a main control valve and determining whether the user is operating a system; the controller receiving a valve signal, which represents an opening degree of the main control valve, from the main control valve, and sending a command to an inverter to control a motor; the inverter sending a voltage, a current, an rpm and a torque value of the motor to the controller; the controller checking whether the voltage, the current, the rpm and the torque value of the motor exceed a restriction range; multiple sensors, installed at multiple positions of the crane, respectively, sensing the state of the crane in real time and transmitting signals of the state of the crane to the controller; the controller transmitting the signals, received from the multiple sensors, to a display unit; and the user checking information displayed according to the signal received by the display unit and transmitting a signal to a controller using an application installed in the smartphone.
