The present invention relates to a phrase-based work authoring system, and to an operating method of a work. The phrase-based work authoring system may comprise a work supporting device including a communication unit, a storage unit, and a control unit functionally connected with the communication unit and the storage unit. The control unit of the work supporting device may be set to form a communication channel with at least one author terminal connected through the communication unit, to receive a phrase of a predetermined length from the at least one author terminal, and to store registration related information of the received phrase with the phrase in the storage unit.
