Disclosed is a safety footplate apparatus for a subway platform. According to the present invention, the safety footplate apparatus for a subway platform disposed in a space between a subway vehicle door and a platform comprises: a mounting frame installed on a wall of the subway platform; a safety footplate to be able to be hinge-rotated with respect to the mounting frame and having a plurality of load cells spaced apart from each other; a pressing unit mounted on the lower part of the safety footplate to allow the load cells to face each other and selectively pressing the load cell; and a support bar disposed to be able to move in a direction approaching to or separated from the mounting frame, downwardly supporting the safety footplate when the safety footplate is unfolded, and partially pressing the pressing part to press the load cell by the pressing unit. Accordingly, a sensing type using a load cell to detect the load of a passenger is applied to remove a blind spot, such that the passenger on the safety footplate is detected without an error and thus an accident occurring when the safety footplate is folded even if the passenger is on the footplate is able to be maximally prevented.
