The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a metal structure comprising a step of coating a surface of the metal structure with a metal surface protective coating composition comprising an epoxy resin, an acrylic resin, a polyester resin, an amine curing agent, a silane coupling agent, a fiber reinforcing agent and a pigment, and then curing the coating to form a surface protective coating layer. The method for manufacturing a metal structure according to the present invention can enhance corrosion resistance, water resistance, and chemical resistance. The surface protective coating layer formed by coating a metal surface protective coating composition can stably prevent a change in physical properties of the metal structure due to excellent adhesive strength.
