SYSTEM AND METHOD OF AUTOMATICALLY DETERMINING ENVELOPE BASED ON BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING FOR ENERGY PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF BUILDINGS
Disclosed are a system and method for automatic BIM-based determination of outer skin for evaluation of energy performance of a building. The system comprises: a building member database in which the thermal conductivity of a material constituting each building member and a design structure are stored; a thermal insulation material/non-insulation material determination/classification module which extracts the thermal conductivity of the material constituting each building member stored in the building member database so as to grasp a thermal conductivity distribution, and sets a predetermined threshold value according to the grasped thermal conductivity distribution, thereby classifying each building member into a thermal insulation material or a non-insulation material; a condensation prevention material determination/classification module which determines whether the building member classified as the thermal insulation material by the thermal insulation material/non-insulation material determination/classification module is a condensation prevention material, and classifies the condensation prevention material; and an outer skin member determination/classification module which determines and classifies a corresponding building member as an outer skin member being in direct or indirect contact with outside air in reference to the design structure stored in the building member database with respect to the building member classified as non-condensation prevention material by the condensation prevention material determination/classification module. According to the above-described structure, the building member is automatically determined and classified as the thermal insulation/non-insulation material, the condensation prevention member/outer skin member, and the direct outer skin member/indirect outer skin member according to a predetermined standard, thereby accurately determining and classifying numerous members of a large-scale complex building and using the determination/classification result in building energy performance evaluation.
