The present invention relates to a system and a method for providing an open market service using a buyer-centered merchandise estimate. Based on a product image, product-related description, category information related to the product, and so on imaged or stored by a purchase terminal, the information is provided for selling terminals pre-registered in the server in relation to the product. The server receives product information related to the product corresponding to the information transmitted from the selling terminals. The purchase terminal is provided with multiple estimate information including information such as the product information, evaluation of the seller selling the product information, and purchase comment, and average delivery date. By interworking with the selling terminal corresponding to one estimate information selected from the estimate information, the purchase terminal performs payment and delivery on the product. Accordingly, use convenience is improved by an intuitive user interface and a purchase can purchase a product with ease and purchaser satisfaction can be improved by buyer-centered transactions.
