The present invention relates to a method of using extract residues remained after an extraction process and respective extracted and purified materials obtained by, in stages, extracting and purifying industrially useful proanthocyanidin of polyphenol series, taxifolin of flavonoid series, and arabinogalactan of polysaccharide series from bark and sawdust that are by-products generated in the process of saw milling a larch hardwood. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method of economically utilizing larch, i.e., a forest resource holding the central place among Korean artificial forestation tree species as series of processes of extracting and purifying plant essential oil, polyphenol, flavonoid, and polysaccharides that are useful natural materials from sawdust or bark, by-product of larch, which is used in manufacturing pellets for fuel or discarded since the sawdust or bark hardly has any use such that the extracted and purified materials are each usefully used in industrial uses, and enabling the extract residues, that have not been used as a mushroom culture medium, to be also used as a mushroom culture medium.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
