The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a bulletproof member for ships and a bulletproof member for ships manufactured thereby. In one embodiment, the method for manufacturing a bulletproof member for ships comprises the steps of: manufacturing a preform by stacking two or more unit sheets including a fiber sheet layer comprising an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber and an adhesive layer formed on one surface of the fiber sheet layer; pressing the preform to manufacture a fiber matrix; and forming a polyurea coating layer by applying and curing a polyurea coating agent on a surface of the fiber matrix.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
