The present invention relates to a flame-retardant master batch composition for an extruded polystyrene foam and, more specifically, to a flame-retardant master batch composition, comprising: 30-50 wt% of a base resin formed of polystyrene and/or low-density polyethylene; 40-60 wt% of a flame retardant formed of tetrabromobisphenol A bis(2,3-dibromopropyl ether) (BDDP), 1,1′-(isopropylidene)bis[3,5-dibromo-4-(2,3-dibromo-2-methyl propoxy)benzene], or a mixture thereof; 1-5 wt% of a filler; and 1-5 wt% of a synergist. According to the present invention, the extruded polystyrene foam prepared using the flame-retardant master batch composition has a sufficient flame retardancy that satisfies the KSM 3808 standards of flammability without using an existing HBCD, while satisfying the standards regarding environmental compatibility and hazardousness to a human body, and furthermore, does not bring a decrease in expandability during the extrusion foaming process of polystyrene.
