A clean chamber technology for a 3D printer and a bio printer is disclosed. A sealing chamber or an enclosure is provided so that a positive pressure can be generated inside the chamber. Unfiltered air is drawn from the outside into the chamber through a high efficiency filter, such as a HEPA filter, which filters at least about 99% of particles and contaminants using an electric fan or blower. The filtered air is pushed into the 3D printing area inside the chamber and discharged through the vent in the frame of the chamber. This technology provides a clean environment for 3D bioprinting of human tissue models and organs and 3D cell culture without the need for a clean room facility.
