The present disclosure is particularly advantageous for quantifying BRAF proteins directly in biological samples immobilized in formalin by methods that may also be referred to as selective reaction monitoring (SRM) mass spectroscopy, or multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mass spectroscopy. From threonine-protein kinase B-raf (BRAF) provides specific peptides, and derived ionization characteristics of the peptides.
