The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a pound cake using ginseng and platycodon, comprising the steps of: 1) mixing after adding sugar, trehalose, refined salt and emulsifier; 2) mixing a whole egg after heating caramel cream; 3) adding the caramel cream and whole egg mixture to the content passed through the step 1) and mixing; 4) manufacturing base dough; 5) chopping platycodon and adding the same to the base dough; 6) manufacturing pretreated ginseng of 70 brix; 7) manufacturing a pound cake; 8) keeping the resultant refrigerated; 9) baking nuts passed through the step 8) in the oven; 10) manufacturing a syrup and then applying the same; and 11) decorating the cake. The present invention increases the sweetness of ginseng and reduces the bitter taste peculiar to ginseng.
