The utility model relates to the field of heat power engineering. The utility model can be used in any industry related to the combustion of coal fuel in vortex furnaces, in particular, in plants for the deep processing of coal into other types of fuel, for example, synthesis gas. According to a useful model, a two-stage vortex burner includes three axisymmetric chambers sequentially and coaxially: a first-stage chamber, a second-stage chamber and a combustion chamber, and a diaphragm is installed in the combustion chamber with an outlet that is offset so that it generates a vortex flow with a spiral axis of rotation. Such a solution allows, on the one hand, to burn low-grade low-reaction fuel in the burner, on the other hand, to reduce the length of the combustion chamber when burning conventional fuel, i.e. reduce the size of the burner. The latter is important in terms of reducing material consumption and, accordingly, the cost of manufacturing a burner device.
