FIELD: agriculture.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production and use of practically odorless nutrients for ruminants, pigs and poultry. Reduced odor feed additive is proposed for use as an energy source for ruminants, pigs and poultry, including the reaction product of a water-soluble metallic salt of polycarboxylic acid with terminal carboxylic groups and C3-C10 fatty acids, the metal is selected from calcium and magnesium, the polycarboxylic acid is derived from pectin, and the fatty acid is an isoacid selected from isobutyric, isovaleric, 2-methylbutyric and valeric acids. Method for feeding ruminant animals, pigs and poultry with an energy source is proposed, including the interaction of a fatty acid in the form of an isoacid nutrient with a metallic salt of polycarboxylic acid with terminal carboxylic groups to obtain a reaction product with reduced odor and feeding the obtained reaction product of ruminants, pigs or poultry, while the metal is selected from calcium and magnesium, polycarboxylic acid obtained from pectin, and the fatty acid is an isoacid selected from isobutyric, isovaleric, 2-methylbutyric and valeric acids. Method is also proposed for the production of a feed additive with a faint odor containing isoacids, including the interaction of an isoacid nutrient with a water-soluble metallic salt of a polycarboxylic acid with terminal carboxylic groups, to obtain a feed additive with a faint odor containing isoacids, with the metal selected from calcium and magnesium, polycarboxylic acid derived from pectin, and the fatty acid being isoacid selected from isobutyric, isovaleric, 2-methylbutyric and valeric acids.;EFFECT: invention overcomes the problem of the odorousness of volatile isoacids used as an energy source for ruminants, pigs and poultry, and combines the advantages of sugars and macronutrients by obtaining feed additives from metallic salts of polycarboxylic acids, for obtaining faint odor milk production enhancers for ruminants, which are effective and easy to prepare and use.;13 cl, 3 tbl, 81 ex
