PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food containing modified waxy cassava starch. A food composition comprising a milk component and an aqueous phase containing an amount of waxy cassava acetyl-substituted adipate-crosslinked starch effective for thickening the aqueous phase, wherein the waxy cassava acetyl-substituted adipate-crosslinked starch is contained.
