PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing the rate of a composite endpoint of cardiovascular death, myocardial infarction or stroke compared to a dosing regimen where the daily maintenance dose of aspirin only is administered to the patient in a patient having a history of myocardial infarction as a result of an acute coronary syndrome during at least 12 months.;SOLUTION: The method comprises administering to the patient twice daily a pharmaceutical composition comprising 60 mg ticagrelor and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, where a daily maintenance dose of aspirin of 75 mg to 150 mg is also administered to the patient.;SELECTED DRAWING: None;COPYRIGHT: (C)2020,JPO&INPIT
