PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of knitting three-dimensional structural knits having different thicknesses by using a conventional flat knitting machine. SOLUTION: This is a method of knitting three-dimensional knitted fabrics having different thicknesses by using a flat knitting machine, in which two cam sets are moved to two needle beds 11 and 12 provided corresponding to them, and one of them is used. A plurality of knitting needles 15 are interlocked by the start cam system included in the cam set to knit the first knitted fabric, then the two cam sets are moved on the two corresponding needle beds, and the other cam set is used. These knitting needles are interlocked by the intermediate cam system included in to knit a second knitted fabric, the two cam sets are moved to the two needle beds provided corresponding to them, and these knitting needles are operated by the ending cam system. The knitting needles are interlocked to knit the base yarn, and the end cam system controls each carriage cam 132 according to the size of the tooth opening gap 10 required for the length of the base yarn to be knitted, and the length of the base yarn.
