To enable performing research of contact situation to contents such as advertisement, regardless of problems related to personal information protection, and presence/absence of cooperation of distributors.SOLUTION: A contents contact situation research system comprises: user terminals of a plurality of users; and an investigation server for analyzing contact situation to a target content, of each user. The user terminal comprises a coding unit coding the target content received from a distribution server in a prescribed manner. The investigation server comprises: a contents specific information storage unit which holds data obtained by coding the target content in the prescribed manner; and a contact situation determination unit which determines a number that each user is brought into contact with the target content, on the basis of a collation result between the data coded in the prescribed manner in the user terminal of each user, and the data coded in the prescribed manner held in the contents specific information storage unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
