To provide methods for using biomass of killed Hypocrea lixii or Trichoderma koningiopsis for performing wastewater bioremediation and producing copper nanoparticles on an industrial scale.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method for obtaining copper nanoparticles from a fungus selected from Hypocrea lixii and Trichoderma koningiopsis. Further in the present invention, a rapid, low-cost, environmentally friendly, easily scalable synthetic method for biosynthesis and removal of copper nanoparticles using the fungus Trichoderma koningiopsis or Hypocrea lixii as the reducing agent is developed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
