PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce instantaneous current consumption when a drive waveform is simultaneously supplied from an amplifier to many loads without adding an amplifier, and to avoid deterioration of discharge quality due to distortion of the drive waveform. An amplifier connection control unit that selectively controls the connection of a plurality of piezoelectric elements and a plurality of amplifiers that generate drive waveforms of the plurality of piezoelectric elements, and a drive waveform storage unit corresponding to a drop type are provided, and image data is provided. The number of piezoelectric elements required for one ejection timing is counted for each droplet type, and a control mode indicating a combination with the drive waveform source data capable of ejecting the droplet type is specified, and each piezoelectric element is connected to a plurality of amplifiers. A liquid discharge device that creates connection destination information and outputs it to the amplifier connection control unit, and in a control mode that discharges a plurality of droplet types, the amplifier that generates a predetermined droplet type is the liquid of that droplet type.
