PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for identifying a medical pump capable of eliminating human error and identifying a motor. A blood pump 3 (medical pump) has a three-phase Y-connection type motor 5 of a U-phase coil, a V-phase coil, and a W-phase coil, and is driven by a blood pump controller 1 (controller). A DC voltage or an AC voltage is applied to any two-phase coil of the three-phase coil of the target motor 5 to detect the current value between the two-phase coils, and the detected current value is preset.
