To provide homework according to content and an understanding degree of a language lesson.SOLUTION: A homework providing apparatus resolves a solution of a student into words for each question; determines a type of a syntax allocated to the question on the basis of a combination between word classes of resolved words; aggregates question numbers for each type of the syntax for each student on the basis of the determined type of the syntax; determines whether the solution is correct or not for each solution; calculates a deviation value for each type of the syntax and for each word registered as a questioning word on the basis of the question number for each type of the syntax, correctness of the solution and the word used in the solution of the student; arranges the deviation value for each type of the syntax in ascending order; identifies the type of the syntax in a range from a lower number position to a predetermined number position; extracts the question provided by being focused on the identified type of the syntax; identifies the question including effective words for improving the deviation value for each word in a model solution, among the extracted questions; and provides the question as homework for the student.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
