To provide a strong anion-exchange fiber composed of a polymer having imidazoline groups, tetrahydro pyrimidine groups and enhanced water insolubility for solving the problem in which: the use of a polymer having an imidazoline group and a tetrahydro pyrimidine group as an ion exchanger has been proposed utilizing the property of being strongly anionic; but such a polymer is easily agglutinated, embrittled, or eluted because of its very high water solubility, it is difficult to be developed in water purification applications which are main applications of ion exchangers; and due to its powder shape the polymer is easily scattered and flowed out, thus the polymer performance may be deteriorated when the polymer is fixed by a binder or the like.SOLUTION: There is provided a strong anion-exchange fiber composed of a polymer having an imidazoline group, a tetrahydro pyrimidine group and/or a salt-formed structure therewith as well as a crosslinked structure.SELECTED DRAWING: None
