The purpose of the present invention is to provide a substituted allyl ether resin represented by formula (1) that is suitable for electrical and electronic materials and raw materials thereof, has a low halogen content, and is obtained inexpensively, and an epoxy resin using the same. (In the formula, R1 each independently represents an alkyl group, R2 each independently represents a hydrogen atom or alkyl group, and a each represents 1-3. n represents the average of the repetition number of 1-10.)
