PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer containing a short chain branch of a predetermined range amount, having MFR of predetermined range value and capable of suppressing reduction of MFR during silane graft modification.SOLUTION: There is provided an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer of ethylene and α-olefin having 3 to 6 carbon atoms, having density of 905 kg/mto 950 kg/m, melt flow rate at 190°C and 2.16 kg of 0.5 g/10 min to 15 g/10 min, molecular weight distribution based on weight average molecular weight and number average molecular weight calculated from a gel permeation chromatography of 3.0 to 5.0 and short chain branch distribution calculated from the gel permeation chromatography and FT-IR and represented by the following formula (1) of 0.1 to 2.0. Short chain branch distribution=(short chain branch number per 1000 carbon atoms with logM of 5.0)-(short chain branch number per 1000 carbon atoms with logM of 4.0) (1), where M represents molecular weight in the gel permeation chromatography and logM represents logarithm with a base of 10.SELECTED DRAWING: None
