Low-Energy Operation of Motor Vehicle Functions During the Operation of the Motor Vehicle

A method is provided for electric low-energy operation of motor vehicle functions during the operation of a motor vehicle equipped with an information display. The method deactivates the information display of the motor vehicle; degrades a functionality of at least one vehicle component that uses the information display to visually represent specific information of the vehicle component; and deactivates a graphics processing unit of the motor vehicle as an energy-saving measure. The graphics processing unit is configured to prepare the specific information of the vehicle component such that this information can be visually represented on the information display. The functionality of the vehicle component is degraded such that the vehicle component continues to determine its associated specific information in accordance with the function and keep the information ready in a prepared manner for graphical processing.
