the present patent application concerns a microemulsified system containing the chloroform fraction obtained from the leaves of the hyptis fruticosa for the preferential treatment of cancer, as well as the process of obtaining and applying the microemulsion. specifically, it is the formulation of a microemulsion, for oral administration, containing this fraction, which, when submitted to experimental studies, demonstrated high antitumor activity in vitro and in vivo. the aforementioned microemulsion system, prepared in order to improve the solubility of the sample, was successfully obtained and presented as advantages being a stable, isotropic, oil-in-water type system with an average droplet size of 6.09 nm. with this, the invention provides an antitumor formulation to be used directly as a final product for use in the treatment of cancer with application in medicine, pharmaceutical, chemical, veterinary, among others.
