a multiband antenna system and a method for controlling interband interference in the multiband antenna system are provided. the multiband antenna system includes at least a first radiation element and at least a second radiation element. an operating frequency band of the first radiation element is greater than an operating frequency band of the second radiation element. each first radiation element includes a grounding structure, a balun, and at least two radiation arms. one end of the balun is electrically connected to at least two arms of radiation. the balun includes at least one driving structure. the balun is configured to: after obtaining a differential mode signal, insert the differential mode signal into the grounding structure using at least one conduction structure. the differential mode signal is a signal obtained by the balun detecting a signal from the second radiation element in a differential mode. by using this solution, interband interference caused by differential resonance between radiation elements in different frequency bands can be reduced.
