A projection or asymmetric key that defines the central opening of the saw blades, in which the key complements an asymmetric keyway groove defined by the curved outer surface of the drive shaft. The drive shaft can be a symmetrical drive shaft, in which both ends of the shaft are similarly configured, so that it does not matter which end of the shaft is oriented, in which direction, in the saw cylinder assembly, and does not matter which side of the shaft the saw blades are fixed, or in which direction the saw blades are facing when fixed.
