摘要
pThe invention enables alternative solution for substitution of thermally less stable enzyme electrodes and expensive non-enzyme electrodes based on precious metals. The presented invention provides ecological and economical benefits because naturally occurring, non-toxic and inexpensive materials, i.e. bentonite type clays, are used as constituents of the prepared electrodes. Submitting the starting clay to a series of procedures, a material with developed surface area, with no swelling property and with incorporated cobalt as the catalytically active component is obtained. Mixing od thus prepared modified clay with carbon black and parafine, paste electrodes that serve as working electrodes, are obtained. The working electrodes in the system containing reference electrode (with or without counter electrode) are used in alkaline media as non-enzyme amperometric sensors for glucose. The presented non-enzyme sensor exhibits linear sensitivity to glucose within the glucose solution concentration range of up to 10 mM. The sensor shows to be successful in the detection of glucose in the presence of interfering substances commonly present in biological fluids. Therefore, it has potential to be applied in real biological systems./p
