An ocular implant (10) for implantation in an eye to reduce intraocular pressure, the ocular implant (10) comprising: an elongated tubular body comprising a proximal end (12), a distal end (13) and an internal lumen (22 ) extending at least in part between the proximal end and the distal end; a fenestration (14) extending from an outer surface of the tubular body and intersecting the inner lumen; and an extruded feature (20) extending from the outer surface of the tubular body adjacent the proximal end; characterized in that the implant has a first length (34) with a first surface feature configured to promote tissue proliferation and a second length (36) with a second surface feature adjacent to the distal end and configured to prevent tissue proliferation, being first and second surface features created through plasma treatment.
