An air or oxygen flow supply system between a supply source (102) and nasal cannulas (110, 111) applicable to a patient, comprising: a) a succession of flow ducts (D1, D2, D3), having different flow areas b) connections (100, 120) existing between said successive conduits; c) said flow areas are defined by A1, A2 --- An, where n 2; d) areas of flow that are reduced in connections (100, 120), in the direction of said flow; e) an inlet tubular adapter (100) that defines one of said conduits (D1) sized and configured to connect directly at the end to a source (102) of oxygen, or oxygen and air, said adapter (100) defining an area inlet flow passage A1: f) a pair of tubular cannulas (110, 111) that define another of said conduits (D3) connected, respectively, with said inlet adapter (100) and that can be received in the nostrils of a child to supply flow of oxygen, or oxygen and air, each of said nostrils (110, 111) having a flow passage area A3; g) where A1 A3; h) two flexible elongated plastic tubes (108, 109) operatively connected between said adapter (100) and said cannulas (110, 111), wherein said tubes (108, 109) have elongated tubing (125, 126, 127) in its interiors to resist bending: i) the inlet tubular adapter (100) having two tubular stems (106, 107), the two stems (106, 107) having holes (106a, 107a) that form two flow outlets 106 , 107a) extending in parallel relationship and aligned with the two tubular rods (106, 107): the two elongated plastic tubes (108, 109) being inserted into the two bores (106a, 107a) of the rods (106, 107); the inlet tubular adapter (100) having a flange (112) that fuses with the stems (106, 107) on one face of the flange (112), said a conduit (D1) being arranged on the other face of the flange (112), said conduit (104) being connected to the bores of the rods (106, 107).
