REAL-TIME DEPTH OF FIELD EFFECTS WITH DESIGN SOFTWARE

Design software can be configured to allow a user in real-time to adjust adepth offield of a perspective of the user within a design space. In oneimplementation, for example,the design software can receive one or more inputs from a user regarding alayout of one ormore objects in a design space. The design software can also render a three-dimensionalmodel of the layout of the design space for display on a computerized display.The softwarecan then receive from the user one or more input selections regarding adesired depth of fieldof the perspective of the user relative to one of the one or more objectsrendered within thethree-dimensional model. In addition, the design software can calculaterevised renderinginstructions that blur at least a portion of the design space. Furthermore,the design softwarecan display, in real-time, the three-dimensional model with the desired depthof field to theuser.
