A device (1) for attracting and catching flying insect pests comprising: a housing (3); a carbon dioxide generation device (5) and attractant accommodated inside the housing (3); a first opening formed in the housing (3), the attraction component of the carbon dioxide generation device (5) and the attractant being discharged from the housing (3) via the first opening; a second opening (14) formed in the vicinity of the first opening, in communication with the carbon dioxide generation device (5) and the attractant; a fan intake unit (13) adjacent to the second opening (14), the fan intake unit (13) taking in outside air using a suction fan device accommodated in the housing (3); and a pest capture box (81) having an air-permeable netting (83) via which outside air suctioned by the suction fan device is expelled from the housing (3).
