The invention relates to a modular open-loop/closed-loop control system (1) for a power network, having an alternating voltage module (2), a direct voltage module (3), an energy storage module (4) and an open-loop/closed-loop control module (5). The alternating voltage module (2) has a charging power supply (7) and an inverter (16). The direct voltage module (3) has a direct voltage network (11), a direct voltage supply (27), at least one direct voltage power supply unit (33, 34) and a direct current network control device (30). The energy storage module (4) has at least one battery cell (44). The open-loop/closed-loop control module (5) is signal-connected to the charging power supply (7) and the inverter (16) of the alternating voltage module (2) and to the at least one direct voltage power supply unit (33, 34) and the direct current network control device (30) of the direct voltage module (3). This allows the following to be defined, according to supply and demand: the recharging of alternating voltage, the conversion of direct current/alternating current, the conversion of network/supply direct voltage and the charging of direct voltage. This results in an open-loop/closed-loop control system which can be flexibly adapted to changing network conditions.
