Disclosed in the embodiments of the present application are a video abstract generation method and apparatus, an electronic device, and a computer storage medium. The method comprises: performing feature extraction on a shot in a sequence of shots in a video stream to be processed, to obtain an image feature of each shot, each shot comprising at least one frame of video image; acquiring, according to the image features of all the shots, global features of the shots; determining weights of the shots according to the image features and the global features of the shots; and obtaining, on the basis of the weights of the shots, a video abstract of said video stream.
