Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a streaming media data transmission method, device, and apparatus, and a computer storage medium. The method is applied to a package, and comprises: generating at least one streaming media data file comprising a file slice comprising a chunk sub-slice, each file slice comprising one or more chunk sub-slices, and each chunk sub-slice being a file capable of being played independently; and upon receipt of a request for obtaining the chunk sub-slice from a content delivery network (CDN) edge node, sending the corresponding chunk sub-slice to the CDN edge node according to the request for obtaining the chunk sub-slice.
