A method for learning a word by using historical spelling experience, an apparatus and an electronic device, the method comprising: acquiring at least one spelling partition combination of a target word, the spelling partition combination comprising at least one spelling partition (101); obtaining a partition spelling result containing historical spelling experience of the target word on the basis of the at least one spelling partition combination and an associated historical spelling record of the spelling partition in the spelling partition combination (102). By means of the described method, a partition spelling result containing historical spelling experience of a target word is obtained by means of acquiring at least one spelling partition combination of the target word and on the basis of the at least one spelling partition combination and an associated historical spelling record of the spelling partition in the spelling partition combination. Thus, a partition spelling prompt containing correct historical spelling experience may be provided when a learner learns an unfamiliar word so as to prevent the learner from using a historical spelling memory by mistake.
